Achieve Beyond is a national Pediatric Therapy and Autism Services agency. With offices in New York (Metro area/Long Island, Hudson Valley & Albany), New Jersey, Virginia/DC area, Connecticut, Maryland, Southern Florida, and California (greater Los Angeles), Achieve Beyond provides quality evaluation and therapy services such as special education, autism services, speech, physical, and occupational therapies to children birth through twenty-one years of age.

We are looking for a dynamic, professional, and hardworking Special Projects Coordinator to join our growing team in Melville. This is a Manager in Training role which will have exposure to and training in the operations of various departments across Achieve Beyond. Via this role, the prime candidate will learn the day to day operations of our business, will work closely with all employee levels including Upper Management, and will play an important part of the success in the departments they work with. We are looking for a candidate who has a thirst to learn all of the aspects of our business to make their contribution.

  • Assist Case Management
    • Verification of monthly eligibility
    • Bi-annual Verbal Re-authorization of Benefits project for all clients
    • Maintain prescription & Plan of Care processing for Medicaid; requesting documents from PCP
    • Data entry projects into Central Reach databases to maintain consistency
    • Assist with all other department projects as needed
  • Assist Intake/Parent Liaison
    • Cover current Parent Liaison as needed
    • Field calls from interested clients
    • Complete client Intake process
    • Initial Verification of client benefits
    • Enter & upload all initial client data into Central Reach database
    • Send Welcome Letter to parents
    • Follow-up with parents regarding satisfaction of services
    • Complete parents surveys
    • Inform staff of concerns
    • Assist with all other department projects as needed
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
  • Duties are subject to change based on the needs of the program and at the manager’s discretion.


  • Experience in a medical practice, case management, medical insurance or hospital setting. Other work environments considered as well.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Must be able to create spreadsheets
  • Must be professional with excellent interpersonal skills, patience, and compassion
  • Able to take initiative & work independently when necessary
  • Solution focused and willing to drive issues to resolution with appropriate persistence and persuasiveness.
  • Must be well organized and detail-oriented with ability to multi-task and adjust to changing concerns.
  • Have a friendly disposition with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow co-workers, providers & clients
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Fluent in Spanish preferred
