Tara Karen is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Licensed Behavior Analyst (CT, MA, MD, NY, TN) who has worked in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis and Special Education since 2009. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from SUNY Stony Brook, a Master’s degree in Childhood education from Dowling College and completed her BCBA coursework at SUNY Stony Brook. Tara is a New York State certified teacher, holding multiple certificates in children with special needs. Before joining Achieve Beyond, Tara worked in public and private schools, as well as performing home-based instruction and ABA therapy. Tara began at Achieve Beyond in 2013 as a BCBA, becoming a clinical supervisor, clinical director, and operations director. Tara’s passion for learning and teaching has guided her journey at Achieve Beyond, and she utilizes ABA principles with her, clinical, and administrative staff to encourage each individual to perform at their best. Tara believes in creating a supportive, motivating, and caring environment to ensure that all services provided are of the highest quality and benefit each and every child and family.
Christina Feuge is a ASHA certified and NYS licensed Speech Language Pathologist. She received her Master’s Degree in Speech and Language Pathology from Adelphi University in 2013. Since then, Christina has been dedicated to providing therapeutic treatments and evaluations at Achieve Beyond. Christina also supervises clinical fellows and enjoys sharing her knowledge to ensure quality care for all clients. She has extensive experience in language development in children, behavioral and sensory based feeding disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, and the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication. She is passionate in providing the best support to clinicians to optimize therapeutic interventions.
Lori is a Board Certified and a New York State Licensed Behavior Analyst has worked in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis with individuals with special needs and abilities since 2010. After completing her undergrad in psychology, Lori realized her interest and passion for ABA and pursued her Master’s of Science in Psychology with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis. While completing her Master’s with Capella University, Lori worked in a public school setting as a 1:1 classroom behavioral support and home services technician to assist student’s with generalizing skills learned in the classroom to the home as well as help parents with their own skills in supporting their child’s progress and skill development. Prior to Achieve Beyond, Lori worked as clinical BCBA/LBA supervisor and then Assistant Clinical Director for a non-profit agency where she provided in home treatment supervision, clinical support to the clinical supervisor, parent training and training development for staff. In 2019 Lori began working with Achieve Beyond as a fee-for-service BCBA/LBA clinical supervisor. Lori quickly learned that Achieve Beyond’s core values and dedication to clients matched her own and she came on board as a full time clinical supervisor. This allowed Lori work with many great families in Suffolk County and help them create meaningful and significant change in their child’s life.
Lori has always been passionate about working closely with the families of her clients so that she can ensure the treatment approach and goals are individualized and socially significant to their child's unique needs as well as the family's values. Additionally Lori is also dedicated to collaborating and assisting fellow colleagues in her field. As Achieve Beyond's ABA Fieldwork Supervision Coordinator, Lori worked closely with others to develop a comprehensive and immersive program that provides future behavior analysts with supervision while completing their fieldwork. In January of 2021, Lori stepped into the role of Assistant Clinical Director for the Melville location where she works closely with the Regional Operations Director in providing clinical support to staff, conducting assessments, overseeing program changes, as well as continues to ensure clients are receiving effective and evidence based- treatment approaches in a fun and supportive environment.
Gina Ballone has been working in the field of ABA since 1998. She first gained experience in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder during her undergraduate studies at Florida State University. Upon completion of her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, she decided to pursue her Master’s degree in Psychology and Applied Behavior Analysis, having the privilege of learning under Dr. Jon Bailey and Dr. Al Murphy. During her graduate studies she co-founded an organization that provided ABA services to children, which is currently a practicum and assistantship opportunity for graduate students at FSU.
After completion of her graduate degree in 2002, Gina was offered a position at Behavior Analysis Inc, a leading ABA company in South Florida. During her work there, she supervised a team of behavior therapists, as well as developed verbal behavior programs, precision teaching, and behavior reduction programs. She conducted parent trainings/workshops and presented at state conferences. The company appointed her to be the Behavior Analyst to consult at the Miami Children’s Hospital, Dan Marino Center. She oversaw all ABA programs as well as conducted consultations to non-behavioral staff. In doing this, she had the opportunity to consult with Speech, Occupational and Physical therapists as well as provide training at the Dan Marino Summer Camps.
Gina has attended numerous workshops in Verbal Behavior, as well as advanced consultation workshops at the Carbone Clinic. She has presented at FABA (Florida Association for Behavior Analysis) as well as other conferences throughout the years. She was the Clinical Director of an ABA therapy clinic in Destin, Florida for 8 ½ years, where she also served as the practicum supervisor for the graduate students in the FSU-PC Master’s ABA program.
Gina became the Clinical Director of ABA Services at Achieve Beyond in the Virginia/DC Metro in 2012. She is passionate about using Skinner’s Analysis of Verbal Behavior to teach language and communication skills to individuals.
Sarah McLaughlin is a bilingual Early Intervention ABA Clinical Supervisor in Queens and Manhattan. Sarah has been working with children with Autism for over 13 years. Sarah has her M.A. in Teaching as Applied Behavior Analysis from Teachers College, Columbia University. She is currently a doctoral candidate for a Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Behavior Analysis from Teachers College, Columbia University. Sarah has been blessed to work with many children and families in the United States, Peru and Spain.
Senovia is a Dual Certified Early Childhood Educator. Certified in Early Childhood General and Special Education. From the time Senovia was 18 years old, she knew she wanted to work with children. As a teacher’s assistant at an early intervention program that utilizes principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, Senovia was considered a leader. Someone who thinks outside the box to treat children of varying degrees of functioning. Senovia loves working with families and doing research to support the neurodiverse community. She’s been working at Achieve Beyond, providing Early Intervention Services since 2016. Senovia is a LEND program trainee. This program Coaches future leaders in various disciplines to improve the health of children who have neurodevelopmental disabilities or other similar conditions such as autism and intellectual disabilities. Senovia earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Long Island University- Brooklyn Campus and a master’s degree in early childhood education from Touro College. Senovia is looking forward to completing her BCBA coursework to continue serving children with Autism effectively.
Brittany Beaver has been a clinical supervisor for our Hudson Valley programs at Achieve Beyond since 2016. She supervises services for clients aged birth to 21. In 2015, she earned her Master of Arts degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Caldwell University. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Licensed Behavior Analyst in the states of New York and Connecticut. She is currently working towards a PhD at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. In her spare time, Brittany enjoys running, reading, and baking.
Maritza Reyes-Trevino is a Board Certified Behavior Analysist who has been working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis since 2009. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies from California State University, Fullerton and a Master’s Degree in Arts and Teaching: Emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis from National University.
Maritza began her career in the field working as a 1:1 Community Integration Specialist, 1:1 Classroom Behavioral Support Aide, and In Home Direct Interventionist in which she implemented behavior intervention plans and provided support for parents and teachers. Throughout the years Maritza has developed individualized client programs targeting socially significant behaviors in home as well as in the community, parent and staff trainings. Through a supervisory role Maritza collaborated with both Regional Centers and insurance companies on client progress and programming.
Since joining Achieve Beyond in 2017, Maritza has been responsible for conducting assessments and re-assessments as well as developing social skills programming for clients in home and in a clinic setting where she oversees a growing clinical team. Maritza has developed a special interest in provider and parent trainings where she finds great pride in continuing to support individuals and families alike.
Nerissa obtained her BA from SUNY Old Westbury in Psychology and her MA in Behavior Analysis from Long Island University. Prior to joining the Achieve Beyond Team as a Behavior Therapist and being promoted to her current position as a Clinical Supervisor, Nerissa worked for over 10 years supporting people with disabilities (with diagnoses ranging from Intellectual Disability, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, and Down Syndrome) in school, day program, and residential settings. Nerissa has experience working with a range of age groups, spanning 4 years old to 70 years old.
Hi, I’m Colleen Geoghegan, I’m a CCC certified Speech Language Pathologist. I’m currently working at the Virginia location for Achieve Beyond. I have a background in working with non-speaking children and with AAC devices. I became interested in Speech Pathology because my younger brother needed services as a child. I attended Marywood University for both my undergraduate and graduate degree. I received my CFY in Salinas, CA, and worked in the Philadelphia School District for 2 years before moving to Northern Virginia. I love working with the LAMP AAC application, and helping families customize their AAC devices to fit their individual needs!
Melanie has been in the field of ABA since 2017 when she started with Achieve Beyond as a behavior therapist. While working as a behavior therapist, Melanie obtained her Masters of Education with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis, earned her RBT credential and began obtaining her clinical fieldwork experience hours in order to become a BCBA. After Melanie completed her experience hours and passed her BCBA exam in November 2019, she began the process of transitioning to a Clinical Supervisor role with Achieve Beyond. Since then, Melanie has been a Clinical Supervisor with clients in our Virginia location and California location as a telehealth supervisor for the past year. In her free time, Melanie loves spending time with her husband and son, camping, reading and generally anything outdoors!
Grace Piechnik MA BCBA LBA is a clinical supervisor with Achieve Beyond. Grace received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University and her master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis and Autism from Ball State University.
Grace began her career in ABA as registered behavior technician in Miami Florida conducting in home and clinic-based services. She then went on to work in high needs schools assisting with school-wide behavior and attendance goals, while also creating enrichment actives for the students. Additionally, she has worked as a special needs teacher at an ABA school. After moving to Long Island Grace joined Achieve Beyond were she provided behavior analytic services to clients and their families.
Grace has a passion for increasing independence in her clients’ lives. Particularly through further developing functional language skills and helping clients discover new leisure skills that will bring them joy. She does this through collaboration with the family and the client themselves.
