In this workshop, we cover what constitutes a late talker and different word choices we should target to support these children in their speech and language development. We cover different word categories, as well as some strategies to use with late talkers and considerations to be mindful of when working with these little ones.
This training will detail the behavioral perspective of language acquisition, as well as how we, as practitioners, can motivate and teach children to increase their verbal and vocal behavior through reinforcement procedures.

This training will teach and guide interventionists to discuss daily routines with parents and provide strategies for using materials in their natural environment to facilitate development across different domains.

Standardized assessment tools are great resources for BCBAs to identify strengths and weaknesses of their client. Conducting these assessments in a traditional way is time consuming and does not paint the clearest picture of parent need or medical necessity. This workshop will focus on creating goals that are functional and socially significant (or have social validity).

This workshop is designed to go over Foxx & Azrin’s (1974) toilet training protocol using least restrictive/most effective strategies. The modified intervention does not include the use of overcorrection. The workshop will discuss prerequisites to beginning toilet training, how to determine and track toileting patterns using a pattern analysis data sheet and how to deal with accidents.
