Pursuant to 20 C.F.R. §656.10(d), notice is provided of the filing of an application for permanent labor certification for the following job opportunity:
Title: Special Education Teacher
Duties: • Provide special education services to children age 0-2 in the Bronx County of New York, NY. Travel is to homes within the same ZIP code. Seventy five percent of the position’s duties are performed in the homes of children in Bronx, NY • Assess children’ skills and determine their educational needs • Adapt general lesson plans to meet students’ individual needs • Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for each student • Plan activities that are specific to each student’s abilities and needs • Implement IEPs, assess students’ performance, and track their progress • Update IEPs to reflect students’ progress and goals • Discuss students’ progress with parents, other teachers, therapists, and counselors.
Location: The homes of children in the Bronx County of New York, New York and Achieve Beyond, 70-00 Austin St, Ste 200, Forest Hills, NY 11375. Seventy five percent of the position’s duties are performed in the homes of children in Bronx, NY. Travel is to homes within the same ZIP code.
Requirements: Bachelor’s in Special Education, or Master’s in Speech Language Pathology; or Master’s in Social Work.

Salary: $68,020- $75,000 per year
