Our professional and caring therapists are driven to make a difference in the lives of the children and families they serve. Achieve Beyond services are provided in home, clinic, or community environments, where we focus on creating meaningful learning opportunities that will help the child reach their fullest potential. We strive to collaborate with our families and teams of professionals to address the diverse and unique needs of each individual and effectively achieve the goals of each child.
We offer a unique opportunity for our Long Island families to have both in-home and in-clinic ABA therapy for their children with Autism, which helps children to learn and generalize skills that will help them to express themselves and achieve independence, all while learning in a fun and safe environment.
Our ABA insurance program focuses on collaborating with families and the child to individualize goals to help improve the child’s life. Our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) create these individualized treatment plans based on interviews, observations, the child’s likes and dislikes, and strengths. The plans incorporate meaningful and functional goals that will help a child increase their independence and happiness.
Treatment is based in the natural environment, is carried out by our trained, exceptional behavior therapists (BTs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT), and is supervised closely by our BCBAs. Family meetings, themed learning activities, and small in person and virtual social skills groups are offered to our families to continue to foster growth and learning.
Our online practice management system allows for families to monitor progress instantly while also having the convenience to view session notes, invoices, and program goals. We are in-network with most major insurance companies and we offer private-pay options as well.
Our Speech Insurance Program is offered within our Melville clinic and offers 1:1 speech evaluations and treatment sessions in a fun and sanitized environment. Sessions can be booked before or after ABA therapy to have these two therapies conducted in one convenient location. Our caring and passionate Speech Therapists work with children on their specific needs while also practicing in a naturalistic environment.
Speech-Language therapy services evaluate patients with language and speech impairments or disorders and conducts remedial programs designed to restore or improve their communication efficacy. Speech pathologists (SLPs) assess and treat people with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. Our wonderful speech-language pathology assistants (SLPAs) and SLPs provide our children and families to improve the child’s oral and communication skills.
A speech disorder commonly refers to a problem with the actual production of sounds, whereas a language disorder references a difficulty in understanding or putting words together to communicate ideas. These services could be needed if a person is suffering from cases such as stuttering, hearing impairments, weak oral muscles, autism and various swallowing disorders to name a few.
Achieve Beyond specializes in pediatric speech language therapy services that assist in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of physical and/or cognitive difficulties relating to verbal and non-verbal communication, as well as feeding and swallowing difficulties, stuttering and voice disorders. Our therapists use techniques such as:
Our licensed SLPs develop an individualized service plan tailored to each child’s needs. Achieve Beyond SLPs and SLPAs work with children on how to make sounds, correct produce of sounds and syllables, improve the tone or quality of their voices, or increase their oral language skills to communicate more effectively. They also work on coordinating and conditioning muscles used in swallowing and eating to prevent choking or inhaling food or liquids.
