Satisfactory completion of the course requires active participation in all journal club discussions, completion of a post-course quiz/survey with reflective responses to questions such as “What did you learn?”, “How can you use what you learned in the clinical setting?”, and “What were the study’s limitations?”. These requirements include providing thoughtful, evidence-based answers to these questions and demonstrating an understanding of the material presented.
This workshop explores neurodiversity-affirming care by embracing the unique strengths and needs of neurodivergent learners. Participants will learn how to challenge stigmas related to stimming, restricted interests, and rigidity while promoting compassionate, strengths-based support. Strategies will focus on helping neurodiverse individuals flourish without forcing conformity, fostering dignity, autonomy, and authentic learning.
