Satisfactory completion of the course requires active participation in all journal club discussions, completion of a post-course quiz/survey with reflective responses to questions such as “What did you learn?”, “How can you use what you learned in the clinical setting?”, and “What were the study’s limitations?”. These requirements include providing thoughtful, evidence-based answers to these questions and demonstrating an understanding of the material presented.
Family Engagement that Sticks: Getting Parents to Participate in Sessions Family Engagement that Sticks: Getting Parents to Participate in Sessions gives EI providers a concrete, repeatable approach to bring caregivers into the work—before, during, and after each visit. You’ll use a brief co-created agenda, clear roles (“I’ll model, you try, I’ll coach”), and ask–tell–ask coaching cycles with micro-practice to turn observation into hands-on participation. We’ll cover culturally responsive rapport moves, handling common barriers (time, stress, competing demands), and simple action plans that fit real routines. Finish with low-burden carryover tools (1-line goals, two-minute practice targets, photo/video check-ins) so families leave confident and able to keep progress going between sessions.
