Satisfactory completion of the course requires active participation in all journal club discussions, completion of a post-course quiz/survey with reflective responses to questions such as “What did you learn?”, “How can you use what you learned in the clinical setting?”, and “What were the study’s limitations?”. These requirements include providing thoughtful, evidence-based answers to these questions and demonstrating an understanding of the material presented.
Learning Outcomes:
As a result of this learning activity, the participants will be able to:
- Identify and explain the 5 developmental domains.
- Apply strategies for integrating multiple developmental domains into therapy activities to support whole-child development during everyday routines.
- Discuss how integrating multiple developmental domains within therapy activities supports whole-child development and enhances functional outcomes.

This interactive workshop explores strategies for aligning therapy activities with the five developmental domains—communication, motor, cognition, social-emotional, and adaptive skills—in a cohesive and collaborative way. Participants will learn how to create integrated, functional and routines-based activities that support whole-child development. The session emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration, family-centered planning, and real-life examples to demonstrate how aligned practices can enhance outcomes and streamline service delivery across disciplines.
