How ABA Services with Insurance Works
To begin services, a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder provided by a medical doctor is necessary. We have a streamlined intake process for both your insurance and our provider. During this time, we request any documentation that is needed by your insurance and go over your specific benefits for services. We also will provide what you should expect when receiving ABA services with Achieve Beyond.
What to Expect from Insurance Based ABA Services
Once all documentation is complete, we will schedule an initial assessment that is developed by a board-certified behavior analyst or a BCBA that is personalized for your child and family. Based on the medical recommendation of your BCBA, we will schedule therapy hours to meet that recommendation. The BACB recommends between 10 and 40 hours per week of direct therapy by a behavior therapist or a BT with oversight from your BCBA.
Getting ABA Services With Your Insurance
We will request an authorization for services if it’s necessary. And once the authorization is approved by the insurance company, it’ll typically last between three and six months. Our administrative team will work on maintaining the authorizations, filling all claims, and following up on any claims not paid by your insurance company. Achieve Beyond is dedicated to each and every client we service and we strive for continuous improvement by setting goals and measuring performance that you will see in your online portal.
