Job Summary:

The Administrative Coordinator/Special Educator is responsible for ensuring all children who are evaluated, or receive SEIT services, through CPSE and CSE receive the highest quality of service.

$60,000.00 - $65,000.00 annually

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Review CPSE and CSE evaluation reports to ensure all state and County regulations are met.
  • Complete and submit evaluation packets to the referral source and families.
  • Create appropriate IEPs based on the results of the evaluations.
  • Communicate with families, districts, and evaluators to troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
  • Create and maintain a close relationship with all referral sources.
  • Conduct internal quality assurance activities.
  • Remain current with all state and county regulations.
  • Attend CPSE and CSE meetings, providing a parent-friendly interpretation of the evaluation results.
  • Provide make-up sessions for SEIT services when necessary.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • Individuals must hold a valid certification, Special Education (Permanent or B-2)
  • Successful experience working in a high-volume work environment where organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential.
Qualifications and Other Requirements:
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook is a must. 
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Remain current about policy and regulations.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to travel to and from assigned work events including but not limited to driving a personal vehicle, walking, and/or use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
  • Occasionally ascends/descends stairs going to, while at, or leaving work location or facilities traveled to for work events.
  • Occasionally moving and/or lifting objects at work weighing up to 20 pounds such as files or copy paper.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time up to 90% of the workday working on a computer/electronic device.
  • The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
