In order to receive credit for the Journal club
All participants must:
a) read the article prior to the club
b) participate vocally or in the chat at least once during the club
c) have their camera on during the whole club, and
d) successfully fill out the feedback form while demonstrating knowledge of the topic and club
e) satisfactory completion of the course requires active participation in all journal club discussions, completion of a post-course quiz/survey with reflective responses to questions such as “What did you learn?”, “How can you use what you learned in the clinical setting?”, and “What were the study’s limitations?”. These requirements include providing thoughtful, evidence-based answers to these questions and demonstrating an understanding of the material presented.
Full attendance and submission of the required survey directly following the course are necessary to receive credit for the course.
The ASHA research article must be read prior to the journal article club. Then, we will discuss the purpose, method, and results of the research and relate how the article applies to our practice with the early intervention population.
