Satisfactory completion of the course requires active participation in all journal club discussions, completion of a post-course quiz/survey with reflective responses to questions such as “What did you learn?”, “How can you use what you learned in the clinical setting?”, and “What were the study’s limitations?”. These requirements include providing thoughtful, evidence-based answers to these questions and demonstrating an understanding of the material presented.
Use joyful, movement-rich play to support early speech movement patterns for children with apraxia. We’ll embed simple targets in people games, pretend, books, and songs, using brief cues and lots of successful repetitions. Learn easy ways to shape rhythm and pacing in play, and show caregivers/teachers how to carry it over in short, fun bursts.
