Pursuant to 20 C.F.R. §656.10(d), notice is provided of the filing of an application for permanent labor certification for the following job opportunity:
Title: Speech Language Pathologist
Duties: In consultation with the clinical supervisor, implement individualized therapy plans to meet the individual child’s needs, abilities, and speech-language development goals. Evaluate levels of speech, language, or swallowing difficulty Identify clients’ goals for treatment. Create and carry out an individualized treatment plan that addresses specific functional needs. Teach clients how to make sounds, improve their voices, and maintain fluency. Help clients improve vocabulary and sentence structure. Work with clients to develop and strengthen the muscles used to swallow. Counsel clients and their families on how to cope with communication and swallowing disorders. Provide services to children in their homes in Queens, NY. The travel is to homes within the same ZIP code. (Seventy five percent of the position’s duties are performed in the homes of children in Queens).

Travel is to homes within the same ZIP code. Seventy five percent of the position’s duties are performed in the homes of children in Queens, NY.
Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Speech Language Pathology or closely related field. New York State Speech Language Pathologist license. The license requirement is a State requirement and generic to the occupation.
Salary: $77,272 – $80,000 per year
