Achieve Beyond provides autism services in these counties in the state of New Jersey:

Achieve Beyond, Inc. provides ABA therapy to help New Jersey children reach their full potential. We offer home and community based ABA therapy for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Our well-trained behavior therapists and RBTs provide 1:1 therapy and are supervised by a BCBA, who also conducts assessments and family training. We are in-network with most insurance companies and offer private pay options.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientific, problem-solving approach designed to produce socially-significant outcomes. In other words, Behavior Analysts aim to improve quality of life for New Jersey individuals, families, and communities using the science of behavior change. The application of ABA is not limited to individuals with Autism, however over 60 years of research supports its effectiveness in meeting the complex needs of this population. Who can benefit from ABA? Any person who…

  • has difficulty carrying on a conversation
  • has limited daily living skills (dressing, eating, toileting)
  • exhibits moderate problem behaviors (screaming, non-compliance)
  • exhibits severe problem behaviors (aggression, self-injury, property destruction)
  • has little or no language skills 
  • engages in self stimulatory behavior (flapping, rocking, scripting television shows)
  • needs extra help in academic skills
  • has limited social skills (lack of interest in peers, trouble making friends)

Meet Our Clinical Director

 Tara Karen, BCBA, Clinical Director

Tara Karen, M.S. Ed, BCBA, LBA, Regional Clinical & Operations Director - Tara Karen is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Licensed Behavior Analyst (CT, MA, MD, NY, TN) who has worked in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis and Special Education since 2009. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from SUNY Stony Brook, a Master’s degree in Childhood education from Dowling College and completed her BCBA coursework at SUNY Stony Brook. Tara is a New York State certified teacher, holding multiple certificates in children with special needs.

Before joining Achieve Beyond, Tara worked in public and private schools, as well as performing home-based instruction and ABA therapy. Tara began at Achieve Beyond in 2013 as a BCBA, becoming a clinical supervisor, clinical director, and operations director.

Tara’s passion for learning and teaching has guided her journey at Achieve Beyond, and she utilizes ABA principles with her, clinical, and administrative staff to encourage each individual to perform at their best. Tara believes in creating a supportive, motivating, and caring environment to ensure that all services provided are of the highest quality and benefit each and every child and family.

 

Erin Geiselmann, MA, LBA, BCBA- Assistant ABA Clinical Director - Since 2015, Erin has been providing ABA therapy to children and adolescents on the Spectrum ages 3-21. She started as a behavior therapist and in 2017, she became a Clinical Supervisor.

In January 2018, Erin was hired at Achieve Beyond as a Clinical Supervisor. When working directly or indirectly with kids, Erin prefers to take a team approach to ABA services. The child with ASD, the therapist, and family members all need to work together to support the child and set him or her up for success.

In October 2018, Erin was promoted to Assistant Clinical Director. As Assistant Clinical Director, Erin ensures the clinical excellence and compliance for the ABA programs in the Affiliates (NY, NJ, CT, FL and future states). She conducts audits of assessments and documentation for ABA cases, provides guidance to salaried and fee-for-service BCBAs, BTs, the Clinical Assistant, and maintains quality control for the program. Erin also supervises candidates for BCBA/LBA credential and assists in creation and presentation of workshops and trainings. Erin works closely with the Clinical/Operational Director to ensure that the ABA programs maintain their integrity, highest ethical standards, and continued success of all the ABA programs.
