.1 ASHA CE

This workshop focuses on shifting from a deficit-focused model to a strengths-based approach in early intervention speech therapy. Participants will learn how to identify and build on each child’s unique abilities, interests, and communication styles—whether verbal or nonverbal. Through real-life examples and collaborative discussion, clinicians will explore how to reframe goals, language, and family coaching to empower both children and caregivers. The workshop emphasizes affirming neurodivergent communication, celebrating progress over perfection, and integrating child-led therapy strategies.
