This workshop is designed to go over the pros and cons of selection based (PECS, electronic devices) versus
topography based (sign language) communication. The research regarding the likelihood of increasing vocal
verbal behavior will be discussed as well as implications on how to choose an appropriate and effective
mode of communication.
