Hello and welcome to our first newsletter for all of our wonderful families! We at Achieve Beyond are so grateful to be providing ABA for your child and we want to ensure that we are providing you with the best resources we have available! In keeping with that idea, we are going to be sending out quarterly newsletters that will inform you of any new policies and procedures, new research in the field, stories to make you smile, and activities and resources that your family may be interested in! Please feel free to give us suggestions and feedback in order to help us help you!

Just as we get to know you and your family, I think it is important for all of you to know a little about our history! Achieve Beyond was founded in 1995 by Trudy Font-Padron to meet the needs of developmentally delayed and disabled children and their families, particularly children with bilingual needs. It was originally named Bilinguals, Inc. and we provide EI, CPSE, and CSE services for ABA, speech, occupational therapy, and physical therapy. We started out in a small office in Long Island. Two years later we expanded our presence to the five boroughs of New York City. The first New York office consisted of a small room in a medical office building. Within one month, the staff outgrew the office space. The present staff now occupies a facility in Forest Hills, Queens, along with offices in Long Island, Westchester County, New Jersey, Virginia, California, Texas, and Connecticut. In 2012, New York State’s insurance law was enacted, and Achieve Beyond expanded to include ABI, the insurance program. We are able to provide ABA services for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder through your health insurance, as you all know!

As Clinical Director of ABI, I am responsible for ensuring the quality of our program and staff. I started with Achieve Beyond in 2013 as a BCBA on one case and in 2014 I became a Clinical Supervisor, supervising the programs of 12 children. I love meeting our families and working with our behavior therapists to teach children and I have brought this passion with me to the Clinical Director position I have been at since last year. I want to make sure that every child is getting the best ABA therapy and that means putting in hard work and long hours to find solutions to the difficulties we may encounter. As a quality measure, Achieve Beyond has required that all potential Behavior Therapists complete the BACB’s 40 hour training course in order to become compliant. We pay for our BTs to become Registered Behavior Technicians because we want the highest quality providers working with your children. We also offer ongoing trainings for all of our staff, in order to keep everyone up to date on new techniques! Recently, we have begun offering free BLS (basic life safety) training for our providers as well. I am proud to be the Clinical Director of ABI, and I am constantly researching new ways to improve our company and the services we provide. Now that you know about myself and ABI, please feel free to share any suggestions, success stories, and/or difficulties you may have! We truly appreciate you allowing us to work with your children, and look forward to hearing from you!
