Achieve Beyond is a national Pediatric Therapy and Autism Services agency. With offices in New York (Metro area/Long Island, Hudson Valley & Albany), New Jersey, Virginia/DC area, Connecticut, Maryland, Southern Florida, and California (greater Los Angeles), Achieve Beyond provides quality evaluation and therapy services such as special education, autism services, speech, physical, and occupational therapies to children birth through twenty-one years of age. We are looking for a dynamic, professional, and hardworking NYS Evaluation Specialist to join our growing team in Melville.

Responsibilities:

The general role of the Evaluation specialist is to support the CPSE/CSE manager in planning and directing the entire operation of the CPSE/CSE evaluation department, ensuring therapists’ provide services according to NYS and Achieve Beyond quality standards. This individual is responsible for effectively meeting the budgeted required evaluations of the program while at the same time following the company, State and County Policies and Procedures.

  • Review CPSE reports, compose an easy to read summary, and compile the packets to mail to the districts and families.
  • Complete IEP’s including SPAMS, Goals, test scores, and outcome summaries.
  • Ensure all packets are QA and dropped into the dropbox for E-filing
  • Review CSE reports and send to the districts
  • Attend IEP meetings
  • Record meeting results into CLAIMS
  • Be available to the districts, evaluators, and translators to address all clinical inquires
  • Reviewing and approving/denying sample reports for potential new evaluators
  • Follow up for missing reports, and other misc items as needed
  • Save and drop all invoices received by evaluators and translators
  • Review all STAC5’s received from the county, enter the date received into CLAIMS, and ensure all STAC5’s are dropped for e-filing
  • Review state Portal for received STAC5’s and enter the date received into CLAIMS
  • Follow up for STAC5’s from items not ready to bill with the school districts in the counties
  • Complete the County Research Request form for pending STAC5’s in school districts


Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Special Education and/or School Psychologist.
  • NYS School Psych Certificate, or NYS SWD B-2 Certificate (professional certifications preferred)
  • Exceptional analytical skills.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Good organizational and long-range planning skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent computer skills with prior experience on Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Accurately complete weekly and monthly dashboards and agendas on the departments progress
