The Case Coordinator Intern will assist Case Management teams with coordinating provision of Early Intervention therapeutic services to children with developmental delays.

This position is a full time temporary summer position which end at the end of August 2019. Based on performance and managers discretion, along with company availability there is a possibility to move to a full time position at the end of the summer.

Position is Monday - Friday 9:00AM - 5:30PM and will last from start date until the end of August 2019

Responsibilites:

  • Support therapists and families and ensure that Early Intervention services are provided in accordance with NY State and EI Program rules and regulations
  • Process newly approved service authorizations and provide therapists with necessary information and documentation
  • Help providers establish contact with parents and assist with scheduling of therapy sessions
  • Coordinate with therapists, parents, and Service Coordinators to facilitate timely and consistent provision of services
  • Communicate with pediatricians and medical personnel to obtain prescriptions and medical clearance when needed
  • Follow up with service providers to request and obtain progress reports in a timely manner
  • Conduct parent surveys to ensure parents’ satisfaction with services
  • Document all information that pertains to the child’s Early Intervention services in the case activity log
  • Update the company’s database and ensure it contains accurate information
  • Maintain positive professional relationship with Service Coordinators and service providers
  • Respond to e-mail and phone inquiries from Service Coordinators, therapists, and office staff promptly


Requirements:

  • Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Outlook/li>
  • Associate’s Degree or some college credits preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills /li>
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment/li>
  • Fluency in Spanish a plus
