Achieve Beyond is a national Pediatric Therapy and Autism Services agency. With offices in New York (Metro area/Long Island, Hudson Valley & Albany), New Jersey, Virginia/DC area, Connecticut, Maryland, Southern Florida, Delaware, Tennessee and California (greater Los Angeles & San Francisco). Achieve Beyond provides quality evaluation and therapy services such as special education, autism services, speech, physical, and occupational therapies to children birth through twenty-one years of age. We are currently looking to hire a Medical Billing Coordinator to join our growing team.

The Medical Billing Coordinator is responsible for entering and processing information for services rendered to create claims through billing system and then forward to insurance payers through the electronic clearinghouse. Also responsible to enter billing information and forward to patients via mail or email.

  • Review provider paperwork for quality assurance
  • Prepare and submit claims to various insurance companies either electronically or in paper form
  • Clear rejections returned by electronic clearinghouse
  • Submit corrected claims electronically or by paper, to claims which have been denied
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Follow up with providers for corrections/issues which they have submitted for insurance billing
  • Consult with Clinic Director, Director of Internal Operations, Revenue Cycle Manager and professional staff regarding unresolved issues
  • Assist during department audit and ad hoc projects as needed
  • Generate patient billing, mail or email out and post monthly recurring patient payments
  • Other duties as assigned by manager


  • Experience: 1 – 3 years of related Medical Billing and coding experience preferred
  • Understanding of medical claims procedures. Familiarity with mental health billing a plus
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy is required
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Technical Skills: Strong data entry skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, such as Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Ability to interpret CPT/HCPC/ICD-10 books
