Achieve Beyond was founded in 1995 and is continuously growing to meet the needs of developmentally disabled children through our ABA, speech, occupational, and physical therapy. We currently offer our special education services in the entire metro New York area (including the five boroughs of NYC, Hudson Valley and Long Island) and Albany, New Jersey, Connecticut, California (the greater Los Angeles & San Francisco areas), Florida, Tennessee, Delaware, and the Virginia/ Maryland/ DC area. We specialize in conducting initial evaluations and providing ongoing services in home, community and clinic settings. Bronx Locations:

ABA Instructor positions in the Bronx

Responsibilities:

  • Provide special education instruction to children with autism and other developmental delays, age zero to three. Utilize methodologies such as discrete trials and behavior reinforcers to improve the childs social, communication, and cognitive abilities. Plan curriculum, prepare lessons and other instructional materials. Develop and implement individualized plans to meet the child's specific needs, interests and abilities. Collaborate with parents and multidisciplinary team of special educators, psychologists, and therapists to define appropriate goals and program activities.
  • Train parents in activities and techniques to continue working with the child
  • throughout the week.
  • Prepare written reports and document the child's progress toward
  • meeting established objectives.
  • Participate in parent conferences, case conferences and Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) meetings.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in Speech Language Pathology or related major
  • NYS Students with Speech-Language Disabilities (TSLD) or Speech and Hearing Handicapped (TSHH) teaching certificate
  • Provide services to children in their homes in the Bronx borough of New York, NY

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases including but not limited to driving personal vehicle, walking, and/or use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
  • The ability to climb and descend staircases
  • The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly
  • The ability to sit on the floor, kneel, and/ or crawl for extended periods
