Achieve Beyond Pediatric Therapy and Autism Services believes that early intervention and preschool/school-aged services make a difference. Achieve Beyond provides pediatric therapy services to children and students ages 0-21, aiding each child to reach their full potential through education, therapy, and family support services in over 30 different languages. We currently offer our services in the entire metro New York area (including the five boroughs of NYC, Hudson Valley and Long Island) and Albany, New Jersey, Minnesota, Connecticut, California (greater Los Angeles area, San Diego, and Orange County), Delaware, and the Virginia/ Maryland/ DC area. We offer initial screenings, parent or school consultations and comprehensive evaluations. Our professional and licensed staff is committed to serving special needs children with physical and developmental disabilities/delays. Services are provided in home, clinic, or community environments.

Locations:

Positions available in Bronx, New York City. We do have positions as well in Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn!

Job Functions:

  • In consultation with the clinical supervisor, develop individualized therapy plans to meet the individual child's needs, abilities, and speech-language development goals.
  • Plan speech-language pathology sessions, according to the clinical supervisor's recommendations.
  • Assess and treat speech-language, voice, and other related disorders of children with developmental delays and disabilities. Administer, score, and interpret speech tests.
  • Collaborate with parents and a multidisciplinary team of rehabilitation professionals and special educators to develop and modify the child's individual education-therapy program. Perform team sessions with the clinical supervisor and receive onsite clinical training and guidance.
  • Attend clinical trainings on program policies and procedures and performing speech-language pathology needs evaluations. Attend trainings on speech-language pathology theory and practical clinical methodologies. Attend workshops and receive systematic training on preparation of clinical documentation.
  • Prepare session notes and patient progress reports.
  • Maintain records for the caseload.


Requirements:

  • Master’s in Speech Language Pathology or closely related major
  • NYS Speech Language Pathology license

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases including but not limited to driving personal vehicle, walking, and/or use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
  • The ability to climb and descend staircases
  • The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly
  • The ability to sit on the floor, kneel, and/ or crawl for extended periods

Compensation depends on experience and will be discussed during the interview process.
