We are seeking a dedicated Special Educator to join our Hudson Valley team. As a Special Education provider in HV, you can work in your county of choice as we have positions available in Westchester County, Putnam, Dutchess, and Orange Counties. In this role as a Special Education teacher, you will have the opportunity to apply the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, ABA, with children on the spectrum. Come join a team of passionate therapists providing excellent pediatric therapy to children throughout the United States! Achieve Beyond was founded in 1995 and is continuously growing to meet the needs of developmentally disabled children through our ABA, speech, occupational, and physical therapy. We currently offer our Special Education services in the entire metro New York area (including the five boroughs of NYC, Hudson Valley and Long Island) and Albany, New Jersey, Minnesota, Connecticut, California (greater Los Angeles area, San Diego, and Orange County), Delaware, and the Virginia/ Maryland/ DC area. We specialize in conducting initial evaluations and providing ongoing services in home, community and clinic settings. Achieve Beyond is centered around our culture of collaboration and support to ensure our services are of the highest quality and adhere to our strong ethical standards.

Achieve Beyond is dedicated to providing quality evaluations, therapeutic and educational services to children ages 0 to 5 years old. We use a family-centered and multilingual approach to ensure parents that their child’s developmental needs are met in a nurturing and supportive environment.

Special Educator Requirements:

  • NYS Certified Special Educator: Students with Disabilities B-2 OR Permanent certification.
  • Superior time management skills with ability to complete evaluations and written reports within very tight time frames.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly with families from a wide-range of socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak fluent Spanish.
  • Evaluations take place in home settings.
  • Experience administering the DAYC and HELP.
  • Compensation depends on experience and will be discussed during the interview process.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases including but not limited to driving personal vehicle, walking, and/or use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
  • The ability to climb and descend staircases
  • The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly
  • The ability to sit on the floor, kneel, and/ or crawl for extended periods
