Child-Led Teaching

Child-Led Teaching
Thursday May 30, 2019
5:30pm - 7:30pm
7000 Austin St, suite 200
Forest Hills, NY 11375

Presenter: Sophia Ma, BCBA

Child-led teaching sets out to mimic the child’s natural environment to increase the child’s motivation
and promote generalization. This type of environment uses a Natural Environment Teaching (NET)
practice, which incorporates a looser format of instruction and allows the child to let the therapists
and providers know what he or she wants. NET focuses on effectively teaching verbal operants that
may occur in a child’s typical surroundings. This child-led teaching workshop will demonstrate various
strategies used by therapists within a typical session through video modeling, and interactive role play.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to identify, discuss, and practice, child-led approaches on their
own.

This workshop is intended for CSE, CPSE, ABA, ABY & EI providers.

For BACB CEUs for BCBAs- pricing includes 2 BACB CEUs.
