Records Clerk-CPSE/EI

SUMMARY/ JOB OBJECTIVE:

The Records Administrator will use documentation software such as Adobe Acrobat, MS Outlook, as well as our proprietary database to manage all necessary paperwork and information for the CPSE and EI departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Responsible for creation and organization of all NYC CPSE electronic evaluation and case service files via the public folders and database systems.
  2. Scans and files originals of all CPSE SEIT Session Notes and Monthly timesheets.
  3. Provides intake and follow-up for all new CPSE evaluations referrals; forwards referrals to the District and continues follow-up on a scheduled time cycle to ensure quick turnaround of new referrals.
  4. Mails evaluation packets to parents and the district daily.
  5. Serves as a translator for in office or phone IEP meetings if necessary.
  6. Maintains the electronic files of the EI evaluation department.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma, college degree preferred
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual Spanish required
  • Familiarity with general records administration.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently to complete various time-sensitive tasks simultaneously.

Other Requirements:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Windows XP, Office Suite and Outlook
  • Other responsibilities as needed.
