The SEIT and Evaluation Specialist is responsible for ensuring all children receiving SEIT services or evaluations through the Achieve Beyond CPSE Department receiving the highest quality of services.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Review IEPs for SEIT services and ensure the information is accurate and appropriate.
  • Ensure children referred to Achieve Beyond are paired with an appropriate provider.
  • Submit all required documents to providers and families prior to start of services.
  • Contact providers to review the IEP content and ensure understanding prior to implementation.
  • Review progress and annual review reports for clinical content and appropriateness. 
  • Communicate with families and providers to troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
  • Create and maintain a close relationship with all referral sources, full-time and contracted providers.
  • Monitor all SEIT cases to ensure required documents are obtained in a timely manner and services are provided as mandated.    
  • Conduct internal quality assurance activities  
  • Remain current with all state and county regulations
  • Provide ongoing and initial trainings for CPSE SEIT providers when needed.
  • Provide coverage for SEIT services when necessary.
  • Work with SAS supervisor and ensure that duties are being conducted
  • Attend 10 initial eligibility meetings per week
  • Assist with evaluation report review and packet completion.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager
  • Individual must hold certification as a Special Educator. 
  • Successful experience working in a high volume work environment where organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook a must. 
  • Bilingual Spanish speaking individual preferred.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time up to 90% of the work day working on a computer/electronic device.
  • Must be able to travel to and from assigned work events including but not limited to driving personal vehicle, walking, and/or use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
  • Occasionally ascends/descends stairs going to, while at, or leaving work location or facilities traveled to for work events.
  • Occasionally moving and/or lifting objects at work weighing up to 20 pounds such as files or copy paper.
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
