Psychological Evaluators are members of the MDE (Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team) who assess the child’s cognitive, communication, social emotional, adaptive and physical skills. Psychological evaluators conduct psychological evaluations, social history evaluations, school and home observations for children being evaluated for the Committee on Preschool Education (CPSE) program through the Department of Education. For each child being evaluated, the evaluators obtain information regarding the child’s development and the child’s developmental progress. The Psychological evaluator is also responsible for writing a rationale for additional assessments needed for all children. The Psychological evaluator is also responsible for completing draft IEP pages for each child.
