Staffing Coordinator – Bilingual Spanish (Long Island)

The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for the full life cycle of preschool evaluations from completion of intakes through final submission of evaluations.  Ensuring evaluations are conducted timely is vital to this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Referral intake of children whose parents have received the initial paperwork from the school districts.
  • Inform parents of the evaluation process during the referral intake.
  • Following up with parents and Service coordinators during the intake process.
  • Daily documentation in Company Database for all evaluation activities.
  • Staffing evaluators for all evaluations.
  • Work collaboratively with the Evaluations Manager and Evaluations Coordinator.
  • Maintains positive relationships and consistent communication with school districts regarding evaluations.
  • Ensures timelines are met for the evaluation process and staff cases in a timely manner to ensure compliance.
  • Maintains and creates relationships with internal and external service coordinators as well as daycare/Head Start educational directors to maintain a healthy referral volume.
  • Obtain documentation and paperwork from districts when needed for the evaluation process.
  • Follow up with Parents and Primary Care Physicians for annual physical forms as needed. 
  • Coverage for Evaluations Coordinator.
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Microsoft Office experience a must
  • Bilingual Spanish required
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time up to 90% of the workday working on a computer/electronic device.
  • Must be able to travel to and from assigned work events including but not limited to driving a personal vehicle, walking, and/or use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
  • Occasionally ascends/descends stairs going to, while at, or leaving work location or facilities traveled to for work events.
  • Occasionally moving and/or lifting objects at work weighing up to 20 pounds such as files or copy paper.
  • The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
