We currently offer our services in the entire metro New York area (including the five boroughs of NYC, Hudson Valley and Long Island) and Albany, New Jersey, Connecticut, California (greater Los Angeles area, San Diego, and Orange County), Delaware, and the Virginia/ Maryland/ DC area. We specialize in conducting initial evaluations and providing ongoing services in home, community and clinic settings. Job Responsibilities:
  • Schedule, conduct and submit evaluation reports and classroom observations on time
  • Write comprehensive, parent friendly evaluation reports
  • Maintain good communication with department administrative staff
  • Attends and participates in IEP meetings, when needed
Special Educator Requirements
  • NYS Certified Special Educator: Students with Disabilities (Birth-2) or Permanent Special Education certificate
  • Bilingual Extension required
  • Must be fluent in Spanish, both written and spoken
  • Experience administering the DAYC-2 and conducting classroom observations preferred
  • Superior time management skills with ability to complete evaluations and written reports within given timelines
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly with families from a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds
  • Must be comfortable providing conducting evaluations in both home and community based settings.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases including but not limited to driving personal vehicle, walking, and/or use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
  • The ability to climb and descend staircases
  • The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly
  • The ability to sit on the floor, kneel, and/ or crawl for extended periods
Hourly Rate: $171 - 226
